Kippy.. The Mayor of WIllow Grove

It was a very busy year for Kip and his work within the community. After the re-formation of the Willow Grove Chamber of Commerce, Kip dove in with gusto.
Business card exchanges, Meet the Candidates, Re-development, all these things kept him hopping.

In May, Kip . along with Pat Stasio of Parks and Rec. held the first Willow Grove Community Day. It was a tremendous success and they immediately started planning the next years event!

Along the way, Kip enlisted Bob Young and the two of them took on War Memorial Park. They spent countless weekends cutting down, clearing out and making the park look wonderful. Bob probably didn't know what he was getting into having Kip as a friend!

In November, Kip was honored by the Chamber with the first Joe Hagy Award. Aside from the obvious honor of the award, it was extra special being name for Joe who was a mentor as well as a friend. They had a very nice dinner at HVCC and Joe Tryon and Laura Hagy Enama presented the award, it was truly wonderful!

Finally, Kip took over Ewillowgrove.com.

Busy busy guy!

It's Been Awhile

Whew... its been awhile since I even looked at this blog, let alone blog on it.

Since November, its been pretty busy. Our 30th reunion was a lot of fun. It was so great seeing faces that I haven't seen in a while. Everyone looked great, no way we could all be approaching 50.

Thanksgiving came and went. Mom and Dad brought over a fabulous Turkey and trimmings. ABC and Joe were in, so it was a lot of fun. Kip, Scott, Allison and I cut out of dinner early to go to the Eagles game. The next day we took Joe and Joe to Philly. After playing tourists on Independence Mall, we took the cheesteak challenge at Pat's & Geno's.

Suddenly it seemed that the Holidays were upon us. We were very lowkey this year. Its strange when everyone grows up and has their own obiligations. Kip, Allison and I went to Mom and Dads Christmas eve. Along with Cheryl , we ate the MOST DELICIOUS Pork Picata made by Chef Wellington. It was a quiet but VERY VERY enjoyable evening.

Christmas day we played it cool, Vegging in front of the TV and chatting with JD & Amy in from Georgia.

The real celebration was held friday night this year. It was one of the nicest gatherings at our house in a long long time. Along with the Chamberlins, Richardsons (rory & joe) we were joined my the rest of the McFatridges. It was the first time that all of the cousins had been together since they were young! Dinner, cooked by Kip, was great. After dinner and conversation at the table, the party moved to the Kitchen. Thanks to Leslie's gift of FIREFLY,
JD, Allison, Scott and Jaclyn enjoyed a FEW Arnold Palmers! Aside from JD busting on me. it was a blast. So funny to hear Jaclyns recollections!!!
